Gustave has the distinction of being one of the most accomplished concrete/typewriter poets in Canada, if not North America. This is not an exaggeration. While the form is not new, he breathes new life into it by using his impressive arsenal of typewriters. While most are pleased with their singularly inadequate machines, he uses various different ones to engineer his structures, which have been published around the world with regularity.
